I want to tell you about an exciting opportunity for your son or daughter to play more baseball next summer.
The Milwaukee Bombers were formed in 2007 to create a more competitive environment for North Central Little League players during the short summer season. We are dedicated to teaching your son or daughter the positive experience of competitive baseball while reinforcing all the lifetime lessons that baseball can teach us.
For the last three seasons, our Bombers players have grown both on and off the field. The experiences are fast has becoming one that our players will remember for a lifetime.
We travel to four tournaments and hold extra practices to get ready for competition. Tournaments guarantee a minimum of 3-4 games per tournament. ONLY registered NCLL players are invited to tryout for the club.
In 2010, we will form teams at the 9, 10, 11, and 12 year old age levels. All age cut offs are as of May 1 of 2010. Team placement is determined by coaching staff and not simply by age cutoff. We will make the best decisions for player placement based on where that athlete will excel and will make the best contributions for team success.
Tryouts will be held at Columbus Park so that we may be ready to go when Spring arrives in 2010.
2010 Season Tryouts @ Columbus Park
Saturday, September 19th
9 and 10 year olds: 3 PM to 4:30 PM
11 and 12 year olds: 4:30 PM to 6 PM
Sunday September 20th
9 and 10 year olds: 10 AM to 11:30
11 and 12 year olds: 11:30 - 1 PM
Please note that your player should report to the age group as per their age as of May 1, 2010.
Players should bring their glove and spikes to tryouts. They should wear an appropriate shirt and baseball pants.
Attendance at tryouts is mandatory! Family commitments or other conflicts must be reported to the director BEFORE a tryout session is missed. Attending both sessions is in the BEST interest of all athletes.
Because of the high interest in the program and limited number of spaces, we must hold tryouts for each of the teams.
2010 Club Fees: all teams - $225 per player
Fees will cover the costs of entering tournaments, uniforms, and equipment. The fees are expected up front after an invitation has been offered to join the club. We do not do any formal fundraising for the club. All coaches are volunteers.
Payments may be made over time if families choose to do so. Please speak to me if you would like to spread your Bombers payments out. We want to the program to be affordable for all families and we hope the payment option will help more players consider the Bomber's opportunity.
With four tournaments, your player is guaranteed to play 12 games and more if their teams make the playoffs in any tournament.
Tournament Schedule:
We will travel to four tournaments for all teams. Historically, these tournaments all come within the calendar time frame of Memorial Day to the last weekend in June. The tournaments guarantee at least a three game minimum and play usually involves both Saturday and Sunday. Conflicts with NCLL games are inevitable. The Milwaukee Bombers and NCLL organizers do everything to avoid these conflicts.
